I scarfed down 7 1/4 cups of popcorn first thing this morning.I logged four points in my food journal in the snack category not breakfast, lest my iPad judge me.I like it to at least appear to be making responsible food choices.
I’m taking the program seriously this time and being totally accountable (mostly) for everything I eat. It’s pretty easy to be honest with this version of Weight Watchers but it makes for a lot of writing in my journal – I’m a grazer by nature and spend a lot of time doing just that – between chewing and deciding what to chew next eating eats up a large portion of my day. Thankfully there is an abundance of zero point food on the program – apples to zucchini, it seems anything that grows on a tree or planted in the dirt is free for the eating. Basically this the giant ape diet.
Fortunately giant apes and I really like the stuff that grows on trees and in the garden.I’m trying to steer clear of any food with a large point value, I haven’t had a piece of cheese in weeks and bread isn’t even on my radar right now.Although I have a variety of legal grazing options in my refrigerator I’m missing the comfort and ease of lazy eating – boxes of cereal and crackers are growing stale in the pantry garnering nary a glance lest the call of the carb be too much for this giant ape to resist.
Proteins are almost fair game.Chicken is a free food, as are eggs — I’ve eaten at least a flock of those poor birds (as well as dozens of their potential offspring) over the past month. I’m up to my clucking eyeballs in poultry these days. I’m actually starting to feel sorry for chickens, they are easy pickings and too tasty for their own good.
I’m feeling fairly positive about the program despite the fact my bathroom scale isn’t participating with the enthusiasm I’d hoped it would. My jeans are starting to relax a little (they’ve been under considerable stress). I’ve still got my eye on the prize (and the bag of popcorn) as I head into my second month of grazing – chickens beware!

Hi Elva. Regarding weight watchers. Are you doing it online or do you go to weekly meetings. I am thinking of joining.
I’m doing the online version (less shaming involved). It’s very easy 😊
